Violin & Piano

I offer private lessons for violin and piano. I am currently accepting students at late elementary to early advanced levels for both instruments. I am also versed in helping adult students rekindle their renewed interest. If you have played as a kid, I am happy to meet with you. For beginners, group lessons are offered on the Classes page.

Playing music with others is an important part of playing music which can be very enjoyable. Student ensembles can be formed if there is a match for skill and proximity. Otherwise, I will play duets with you (violin/piano or two pianos) and coach you for ensemble playing.

To determine if we would be a good fit, I offer 1 discounted consulation lesson (45-minutes) for $20. During the consultation lesson, your desired musical goals and interests will be discussed. Then I will coach you on a piece you are working on or on something you have worked on. I can also provide music.

The following are the lesson rates:

*45 minutes is the minimum lesson length offered.

The lesson frequency will depend on the student's needs as some desire weekly sessions and others as-needed. The lessons are in-person. Online lessons are offered in special circumstances such as illnesses or travel. I currently travel to West Medford and Arlington Center areas for in-home lessons. I may be able to travel to other areas on a case-by-case basis.

Parnassus Studio is located in Porter Square in Somerville and Cambridge, MA, 5 minutes from the redline T subway.
